Job Description
MedStar Medical Group at MedStar Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join their Urologic Oncology team in Washington D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work with regional leaders in urologic oncology, focusing on comprehensive management of complex urologic malignancies. The position involves providing care independently and assisting surgeons with outpatient and robotic surgeries, with training provided for office procedures.
Practice Info
• Based mainly at MedStar Washington Hospital Center with opportunities to provide care at regional ambulatory centers
• Small team of physicians who are regional leaders in Urologic Oncology
• Focuses on comprehensive management of all urologic malignancies, often taking care of complex cases with other disciplines
• Primary site for the MedStar Georgetown Urology residency program, offering close work with residents and medical students
• Highly motivated and specialized team of urologists, APP's, RN's, and office staff
Responsibilities
• Provide care for patients with complex urologic oncologic conditions
• Assist surgeons with outpatient care for pre-op and post-op patients
• Assist in robotic surgeries
• Perform office procedures, including diagnostic cystoscopy, complex urethral catheterization, and intravesical therapies (with training)
• Participate in clinical trials and potentially become a co-investigator
Compensation
• A competitive base salary and performance rewards
• Hiring range: $115,000 - $143,619 /Yr.
