Job Description

The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank for the Division of Surgical Oncology. This role involves expanding Surgical Oncology programs and clinical practice at the University of Maryland, Capital Region Medical Center, providing care to complex patients, and contributing to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will have a clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity consistent with the School of Medicine's mission.

• Clinical practice at the University of Maryland, Capital Region Medical Center (UMCRMC)

• Providing care to complex Surgical Oncology patients at the UMCRMC Campus

• The UMCRMC campus is in Largo, Maryland, less than a 45-minute drive from downtown Baltimore

• The current surgical oncology practice at UMCRMC is broad and comprehensive

• Supported by the Cancer Center at UM Capital Region Health and part of the University of Maryland Medical System

Responsibilities

• Growth of Surgical Oncology programs and clinical practice at the University of Maryland, Capital Region Medical Center (UMCRMC)

• Providing care to complex Surgical Oncology patients at the UMCRMC Campus

• Contributing to the comprehensive growth of surgical oncology throughout the Medical System

• Educating medical students, surgery residents, and fellows

Compensation

• Salary Range: $379,704 - $605,000

• The referenced salary range reflects base pay, determined by faculty rank and years in rank

• This salary range does not include all components of the Departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs

Requirements

• Board-certified
